The next development group outing will be on Thursday 16th September in Witney. The theme is long exposure. We will meet at 6.30pm in Market Square and continue after dark.
If you are new to long exposure photography, or just wish to learn more about it, I will run a workshop during the outing to cover the following subject matter:-
– daylight long exposure
– night time long exposure without filters
– night time long exposure with nd filters requiring bulb mode
– using flash (rear and front curtain) along with long exposure at night
– light trails
Numbers for the workshop will be very limited on the night but I will consider repeating it another night if there is demand. Please let me know beforehand if you are interested.
Kit required will be: camera, remote release or self timer, tripod, speedlight or pop up flash, neutral density filters (nd4, nd8, nd64, nd1024, or a good variable nd) or whatever filters you have. If you don’t have any I will be able to lend you some during the workshop. At night you can take long exposure shots without filters.
I’d also like to mention, especially for those new to the dev group, that there is no pressure during our outings. You can still come along even if you want to do something entirely different, and it’s a great way to get to know other club members.
